Description

Reluctantly selling my 2006 Honda S2000 GT as the time has come to buy a house and the sale of this car is going towards a deposit.

The car is a Honda S2000 GT in Silverstone Silver with the more desirable two tone black and red leather interior, being the GT model the hard top is included which is in mint condition.

The body work on the car is mint condition, there are a few very minor stone chips on the bonnet but you would have to look on purpose to notice them, these are to be expected with any low slung sports car. The car has always been well looked after and regularly washed to make sure salt and dirt is kept off the body work and paint. There is a minor chip on the front bumper (plastic) but again you would not notice it unless you were looking for it. This does not look like a 12 year old car, you will struggle to find an S2000 in better condition than this example unless it has been garaged it's whole life.

The car has recently undergone a full MOT on the 22nd of February 2018 so it has another 10 months to run until it expires.

The car was registered in March 2006 which means it was one of the last face lift S2000's that was registered a few days before the road tax hike hit high emission vehicles, this means you pay the lower tax amount for this car compared to later models. It is a fantastic drivers car that is incredibly rewarding, it drives and handles superbly, anyone who knows anything about cars will already be aware the S2000 is already widely regarded as a future classic and prices are holding, steadily appreciating for a good example.

The car has had x3 previous owners before I purchased it in April 2014, I have enjoyed 4 great years with this car and in all honesty wish I could keep it, it is a really rewarding drivers car. When I purchased the car it had 57,000 miles on the clock, it now has 85,110 miles on the clock, the main reason for the increase in miles under my ownership is I used the car as a daily for a period of time until I purchased a second car.

From what I understand the previous owners like myself always kept the hard top on the car, I did this because I prefer the look of the S2000 with the hard top fitted, I know this defeats the purpose of owning a convertible but it does have the benefit of meaning the soft top roof on this car is like new, it could not get any better than the roof on this car, it is factory fresh. I have had the hard top off this car twice since owning it apart from when taking it off to shampoo and clean the soft top, the hard top has gone straight back on afterwards.

The interior of the car is incredibly clean, the leather seats are incredibly clean and the colours vivid, they are regularly cleaned and fed with leather feeder. The car has the stock radio that was fitted from factory.

All 4 alloy wheels were refurbished in 2017 and are in perfect condition. I also replaced all the lug nuts on the car at the same time with brand new ones so they look fantastic, most lug nuts on S2000’s rust if they are the originals. New tyres have recently been fitted to the rear of the car and the front tyres still have plenty of life in them, on the rear are fitted Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's and on the front are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's with the following tread left;

Front Left 5.9mm
Front Right: 5.7mm
Rear Left: 7.1mm
Rear Right: 7.3mm

The car is completely stock with the exception of a K&N FIPK air intake which is a minor modification a lot of people tend to do on this car as it really brings the induction noise of this fantastic engine to life, I am also including the original factory air intake/filter with the sale of this car. Last year I also stripped and repainted the rocker cover on the engine as the red paint was starting to peal away from it so it looks fresh now in the engine bay, a new head gasket seal was also fitted when I did this job as it is a good idea to replace it at the same time if you are taking the valve cover off.

I have the full service history of this car as from when I purchased it and most of it from the previous owners. The car has been serviced at a mixture of Honda garages and local garages at the following intervals;

- 7776
- 17768
- 27220
- 37847
- 53051
- 57305
- 64227
- 73213
- 77662
- 83353
