Location

Our base for the event will be The Metropole Hotel, in the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells. It has been fortunate to host many motor vehicle rallies during its long history, from competitive international events to vintage and classic sports car rallies. Over the last 20 years these have included the Bentley Drivers Club, Sporting Bears Motor Club, the Veteran Car Club, Rolls Royce Enthusiasts, and the MG Car Club to name but a few.

Built in 1896 The Metropole Hotel, Welsh hotel and Spa was originally the largest Hotel in Wales. Still privately owned by Justin Baird-Murray, great great grandson of the Founder AND former S2000 owner, The Metropole Hotel and Spa, remains the highest AA rated Hotel and Spa in Mid Wales

The Saturday drive will feature tremendous open roads that exist throughout Mid Wales, such as high mountain passes like Devil's Staircase, the fast open roads such as the A44 from Rhayader to Aberystwyth, the 365 run, a 55 mile stretch from Newtown to Llandovery which has a bend for every day of the year. The scenery is spectacular, congestion minimal and all in all, a wonderful motoring experience.
